This week Talbot Interfaith Shelter,Inc. joined our family of funds. The shelter is a voluntary interfaith-based service ministry in Talbot County. The shelter is dedicated both to providing safe,temporary shelter to men,women,and children who lack adequate housing, and to raising awareness of the issues of homelessness in our community.
The shelter was established in 2008 and over the last two years 400 volunteers provided 690 bed nights and served 2,070 meals to 26 different individuals.
Talbot Interfaith Shelter has established both an endowment and an operating fund at the Foundation and we are delighted to have TIS as one of our nonprofit partners.
